After-School Programming

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Houston Ballet's After-School Programming is available to up to three schools each year.  Our programs serve elementary and middle schools for two hours one or two days each week.  Operated on school grounds for the convenience of students and families, HBASP can be formatted to fit each schools needs and schedules.  For more information regarding this opportunity, please contact Houston Ballet's Education & Outreach Department.

ELIGIBILITY

Schools with at-risk children, inner-city schools and low income schools without dance programs in place are eligible for this program.  Schools are required to provide staffing support (1 teacher in the class at all times.)  HBASP can accommodate up to 25 students per class.

Currently, there are no openings for the 2008-2009 school year.  We will begin accepting requests for 2009-2010 on January 5, 2009.
